How to play

How to play 7-0 step by step

1

Roll a World Cup squad

Each spin draws a real national team and World Cup year. The card on the left tells you who came out. If it's not what you wanted, burn a reroll to switch country or switch year.

2

Pick a valid player

Each open slot accepts specific profiles. If you're missing a right back, falling in love with another #10 won't help. The game forces you to look at the whole XI before locking the pick.

3

Fill the XI and simulate

Once your eleven are set, the engine simulates 3 group games and 4 knockouts. A pretty squad can flop if it stays still. A less flashy XI can shock if it respects roles.

Rules

7-0 rules

One roll, one squad, one choice

Each spin gives you one national team + World Cup year. You sign exactly one player before the next spin. No undo, no cheats.

Formation drives everything

You pick 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 up front. Each slot accepts only compatible positions. If Klose can play right wing, the system fits him there; if not, he can't enter your XI.

Classic mode or trivia mode

Classic shows every player's rating so you choose with info. Trivia hides ratings: the card relies only on your football memory.

Simulation closes the story

Whatever the squad, the sim engine has the last word. Three group games decide if you advance. The knockouts pick the champion. Tied scores go to penalties.

Strategy

Tips for better drafts

Prioritize the hard slots

Goalkeeper, centre-back and defensive midfielder decide more games than they look. If a roll hands you quality in a tough position, think twice before chasing a famous name instead.

Don't break the balance

An XI with five flashy strikers sounds fun, but the sim needs links. Look for passing, recovery, build-up, runs and finishing in believable ratios.

Play by era

Some squads have very marked styles (Brazil '70, Spain '10, Netherlands '74). If you know the era, you pick players who fit the tempo even when they aren't the most famous.

Restart to learn

A bad run also teaches. Switch formation, try another style and watch which team type gets closest to 7-0. Three rerolls per draft is enough when you spend them well.

Spanish-speaking market

Why 7-0 clicks with Spanish-speaking fans

Because the joke is mixing squads from real World Cups. 7-0 nails it: Cup memory, fast decisions, and a sim that rewards balance. Brazil 70, Argentina 86, Spain 10, Uruguay 10, Mexico 26: the roster prioritises names a hispanic fan recognises on sight. No heavy tutorials, no clumsy cursors, no download โ€” open the page, pick a World Cup, and the bar debate has already started.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What is Sete a Zero?+

A World Cup draft game. Each spin gives you a national team + World Cup year, you pick one player, fit them into your formation, and once the 11 are set the engine simulates 3 group games and the knockout rounds.

Why 7-0?+

Because going unbeaten through 7 stages (3 groups + 4 knockouts) and winning every match is the perfect mark: the famous 7-0. The point is to actually pull it off โ€” not just assume it.

Do I need to sign up?+

No. Open the page, pick mode and formation, and start. If you want to share your campaign, a permanent link with your XI and results is generated. Still no account required.

Do I need to know a lot about football?+

No. Classic mode shows every player's rating so you can decide without memorising squads. Trivia mode is for the pure challenge: memory only.

Best starting strategy?+

Don't just chase strikers. Lock down keeper, centre-backs, fullbacks and a defensive midfielder before stacking the XI with marquee names. Defence wins knockouts.

Unbeaten run

Only 1 in 100 goes 7-0. Will you?
